Project Play France: Photographs from my ongoing work at the UK/French border were used in the report ‘Nowhere Safe The Impact of UK Funded Border Violence Against Children in Northern France’
The full report can be viewed here. I also documented play sessions for the NGO; with a particular focus on doing this ethically to maintain the anonymity of the children. Photographs were also used on social media.
Working with Impact Arts on a sustained project over 3 months myself & a drama practitioner built relationships with 4 long term addicts who were undergoing the process of remission.
We explored different ways the group could express often complex & contradictory personal feelings around addiction & how this impacted on their relationships & daily life.
The project culminated in an exhibition & presentation in central Glasgow.

After the referendum which saw the UK leave the European Union by a close 52% to 48% margin I worked with The More in Common Network . This is a collection of groups and partnerships across the UK who champion Jo Cox's powerful message.
‘We have far more in common with each other than things that divide us.’
It exists to connect people who share Jo's vision and to build a movement of community builders. Boston, Lincolnshire was the highest vote Leave area in the UK (75.6%). Boston More in Common was set up by electrician Julian Thompson.
The London borough of Lambeth was the highest vote Remain area in the UK (78.6%). Lambeth more in Common was set up by retired university lecturer Charmian Kenner and centered in Brixton.
We produced a photo zine exploring the relationships built and socia lunderstanding shared.
Text was from the Two Rooms programme on BBC Radio 4. This was a discussion and debate programme . It used a focus-group format by placing two groups of voters with differing views into separate rooms to discuss major political and social issues before bringing them together.
